Our team had a hugely successful weekend at Maryport’s Taste of the Sea Festival on 9th & 10th August. We joined forces with the Solway Firth Partnership and managed to chat to many members of the public, hearing the fondness people have for this area, their treasured memories and the enjoyment they get from living in or visiting our National Landscape was truly wonderful. The event was a great opportunity to let people know what our team does and how we manage the Solway Coast National Landscape in a way that conserves and enhances it’s natural beauty. We discussed our latest project and answered many questions. Excitingly, we also had our new walking and cycling leaflets hot off the press! So many people were thrilled to pick these up, packed with information and carefully planned routes, these leaflets are perfect for helping both visitors and locals explore the Solway Coast.
