This month we launched our Nature Calling project, on Friday 2nd May we welcomed members of the Botcherby Community Centre to our wonderful National Landscape to gain an insight into what makes the Solway Coast so unique and special.
This initial visit was all about gaining inspiration from the landscape, we visited Allonby Bay Beach and Crosscanonby Carr Nature Reserve, two contrasting but equally fascinating locations.
We explored the area, focused on each of our senses and thought about how being surrounded by nature made us feel. We also had chance to meet some friendly faces on the farm and sample the delicious milkshakes at the the Moody Cow Allonby!
Next we will begin to plan an art project that takes inspiration from our visit and reflects our experience of the Solway Coast. Keep an eye out for our updates!”
